2014 Chehalem “INOX” Chardonnay, WVA

All this ridiculous summer weather in November has got me thinking about Mission Beach.  I think it’s time to grab some post-summer refreshment from the recently warmed Willamette Valley.  BTW, it’s Willamette Dammit!  2014 pushed the fruit to it’s highest potential without sacrificing structure.  INOX is fermented in steel, not oak.  That decision holds the blossom, asian pear, pink lady apple against the shortbread and peach compote aromas. Pick up an icy glass, watch the waves, and enjoy the green tea finish balanced like a Wallenda on acid.  If you can’t make it to the beach, grab a rotisserie chicken and head for “the patio” this weekend.  Enjoy your life!  Enjoy wine!
